Our Team
Vishal Mutti and Manroop Gill met in 2016 while earning their Bachelor of Commerce at UBC. Fueled by a shared drive for entrepreneurship and sustainable business practices, they turned their dorm-room side hustle—sourcing used books from libraries and thrift stores—into a full-fledged book recycling and donation company in 2020.
What started small now supports a team of 50+ warehouse professionals at two book processing centres in British Columbia and Ontario. Together, they handle over 3 million books and media items per month—powering literacy programs, reducing landfill waste, and building a circular economy for books across Canada and the United States.
